Whoops turns out I forgot to post this! So a little while ago had the honour of designing the iconic “Mellings” for a @melodynosurname.bsky.social video (For the uninitiated they’re the 5 identical daughters of Melody that each inherit a color from her hair (ignore the other one))

There’s 6 little versions of Melody’s sona, their shirts are numbered 1 through 6, and the only difference between the first 5 is their hair and shirt colors, 1 is red, 2 is blue, 3 is pink, 4 is purple, 5 is yellow, and the last one 6 is tinted entirely green

when people look for "choices matter" games, do they want to see the consequences (good and bad) of their actions, or do they want gameplay focused on making "right" choices? i prefer working in that first space. to me, "optimal" choices existing is almost the same as having no choices at all.
