Switched On Fungus

Photo of me as Fungus sitting in front of and facing a MOTM modular synth system surrounded by other synths and instruments. My paws are resting on a keyboard.

Paws up, presenting the synth in all of its glory

I never ever want to make art for my workplace ever again, not without me growing a spine and having an artist contract for them to agree to.

Dire's Hairbrush

A paper sculpture of a pink hairbrush filled with white pieces of paper resembling the hair of my fursona. The background is white printer paper taped together. The whole sculpture and background is held together by small rectangles of blue masking tape

Ive been thinking about sculpture lately. I dont have a lot of space or energy to do it anymore but i still love it. I guess this is an effort to make something physical without draining myself too much. I dont want it to be a sad piece though. I think its kind of frightening to be honest. I was originally making this to be a reference to paint from but i like it more as a photograph. I dont have any meaning behind this one. Kind of a gross poppish way of imagining a mundane object that ill never really know. But yeah :)

I am okay with posting work that looks like shit (in a technical sense) as long as I am able to communicate the feeling I’m feeling, that’s all I want with my art.

For a minute, it stopped feeling real

Human hands hold a needle felted plush of Fungus, inanimate, silently staring vacantly.

A human, me, looks down at them without a word. Tears roll down their stubbled square face.

Things snap back to familiarity. I am my sona, still crying, staring into space. Fungus, who I am staring ok holding, now animated, asks “are you okay?”

I hold Fungus, who holds my paws, still silent but looking at me with concern

most of my coworkers stand and sit like this

Creatures standing and sitting with their legs spread out as wide as possible.

I have a good idea for a fursuit photo, but I wonder how bad it’d be if someone caught me walking to a field with a scythe.

can you TF me into a little bell and ring me? 🥺

Screenshot of my phone playing the single Wee Rosebud by Clarissa Connelly. The artwork for the single is a hand ringing a bell on a black background. The bell has gleeful closed eyes and a tongue swinging forward. White 3D music notes spill out of the bell’s opening, singing a joyful sound.
