A good time to transfer a 2024 series from the other place... People cope with horror & anxiety in different ways. I worked through some of mine this morning by creating a new series: Jordan Bardella as some of the most terrifying children in film history... 1. Regan MacNeil
An image of Jordan Bardella with his arms outstretch (RN symbol to the right behind him) next to an image of Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist (1973), also with arms outstretched, in a night dress, fully possessed, with scary hair and makeup.

We are disgusted and disturbed to see a piece run in the National Post that appears to potentially endorse violence against NDP Leader Avi Lewis for his argument that we all bear a collective responsibility to stop the genocide in Palestine. See our joint response:

September 30 is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. Today is a time to raise awareness of the ongoing impacts of residential schools and remember the children who never came home. How are you honouring the day?

I just gave a lecture on the French and Haitian Revolutions and got to use this amazing 1948 painting by the Haitian artist Dieudonné Cedor depicting the 1791 Vodou gathering in the forest of Bois Caïman, the pivotal ceremony that ignited the revolution.
A priest dressed in bright scarlet robes stands at the center with arms outstretched upward, directing the ritual invocation.

Gavin Bazunu statement on withdrawing from Ireland squad

Statement - Gavin Bazunu

Representing my country means everything to me. I have the utmost respect for every single one of my team mates, the Manager, his staff and the Irish people

However I have reached a decision that I have hot taken lightly. I am a man of strong faith and try my best to be a person of character and principle therefore 1 feel it would be wrong to participate in the upcoming fixtures against Israel.

My decision is based purely upon my personal belief that the killing of innocent people is wrong.

It is important to note that my stance is not in opposition of the Israeli people or the Jewish community but against the atrocities in the region.

There are few times where you get a chance ir ife to stand up for something bigger and strongly believe that this is one of them

I am sick of people who, have never organised politically or been involved in campaigning criticising the Palestine solidarity movement for focusing on Palestine. If you really care about any of other very legitimate causes, why not organise a protest rather than expecting someone to do it for you?

I have been very impressed by some of the moves Concordia has been making to deal with its budget challenges. The right response isn't cuts: it's shared understanding, revenue-sharing and, above all, getting the university out of its own way. Rapid collegiality in action. More like this, please.

The way AI is going to “kill everyone” is just by manufacturing consent for ever worse outcomes & conditions, like many governments do. It is a governing technology after all. And like bureaucracy it launders responsibility so the people & institutions who deploy it aren’t accountable for the harms
