CSP being pressed to take even just /kissing/ off their asset store and FA being told that plus sized characters are considered adult should be a giant waving red flag to folks. Sex workers have /always/ been right to say these policies never stop with 1 type of content. They always wanna ban more.

FurAffinity (a furry focused online art gallery) is looking for funding after refusing to comply with advertiser demands. And oh boy are some of those advertiser demands are pretty ridiculous.

The wider culture very prefers that only pretty young things make their way through the world on their back - that sexual commodity be a phase terminated by entering the machine of marriage, reproduction, equity, inheritance. And those of us who don't have that latter dog in us it mostly wants dead

the more sex is kept behind closed doors, the straighter the teeth and the more average the height and weight on the people allowed to talk. I dunno why it should be that way but it is. this also *insanely* increases permeability to plants and shills of all descriptions

FA is being very up front about both the cost of hosting the site [it aint cheap] and how advertisers theyd been relying on prior are pushing all the same puritan bullshit weve been seeing other platforms push FA is one of very few Old Internet spaces around. Support em while we CAN

I know a lot of furries have complicated feelings about furaffinity, I am one of them, but i think that if we can preserve the space, we should really try. Its 20 years of art, writings, and overall culture, important to both Furry and LGBTQ+ history.

Moralists don't really *have* beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child's toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward
