Yes and this situation is entirely different to the Falklands though where no country had a claim, and there were no people there. Likewise after the French and the proto-Argentine state failed abysmally to set up their own colonies.

There were no settled people on the Falklands until the permanent settlement Britain. Unless we are handing the Islands over to the Penguins and Sheep then it is a moot issue. Sure it is silly, but this is the reality of the postcolonial era, you have weird enclaves and exclaves on random islands.

The Falklanders want to be British, they are absolutely clear on this, who cares about the feelings of Argentine nationalists and their loser leader Milei. The Falklands belong to the Falklanders, not some guy in Buenos Aires who wants to steal oil from the Falklanders.

Something that people forget about France is that their police are incredibly violent, and use dangerous weapons against civilians regularly. These sorts of weapons are major French exports. This is why France has to protest hard, because the police will beat them to nothing if not.
