I'm so pleased that my translations of Nadja Küchenmeister's gorgeous poems appear in THE OPPOSITE OF SEDUCTION, alongside so many others to explore and discover. Do read! More translation!

The fact that Alice Weidel – co-leader of Germany's far-right extremists – calls Hitler a "communist" and compares Nazis to "leftish Palestinian" antisemites in ONE sentence epitomizes exactly the type of distorted discourse the liberal center in Germany has helped normalize over the past 15 months.

A poem by the slanderous bard Leigh Bell for Merrick Garland, our coward-in-chief, who belongs not in hell but wandering around outside, lost, hesitant, indecisive
PLAIN BEFORE THE GATE OF HELL (COWARDICE)
Merrick Garland, Attorney General of the United States
Outside the swarming mob of suited WASPs, We find Meek Merrick, Mr. Mitigator, Captain Captive-to-the-Managers, Stuck once in limbo by a Senate boss;
Then stuck in fear of partisan attack;
Now stuck all over his bare ass by thrusts The bicio tingers leaching blood hid pus;
Leave rivulets that fester and secrete
To feed the grubs and maggots at his feet.

A nurse's statement about United Health Care (sorry about Twitter post, but I felt this one was important).
A post from a pediatric RN says, "I work in pediatric neurology. We have UHC deny seizure medications that we can definitively tell will benefit patients based on their EEG results because it's not UHC's preferred medication. Patient has to fail the preferred medication first. And by fail, this means that patient has to have a shitload of seizures. So these kids have to seize their fucking brains out to get a medication that we know will control their seizures. Fuck health insurance companies.
