My friend and very dear human, Jamie, lost their Dad unexpectedly this past week.. If you have the means, please consider helping them, no amount is too small. I would also ask that as you move through the world, please mask up and stay home when you are sick if you can.

Found this cute little barnacle eating dorid with @jensseattle.bsky.social Saturday morning. #nudibranch 🐙🦑
White and brown slug with relatively large tubercles all over its body, a fluffy gill plume, and perky rhinophores. It’s crawling on some barnacles.

Swima bombiviridis—because sometimes, the best way to escape oppression is to drop a glowing distraction and peace out. These deep-sea worms eject bioluminescent “bombs” to confuse predators while they make a clean getaway. Resistance, but make it ✨dramatic✨. 🌊🪱 #WormWednesday #DeepSea #Marinelife

WA Folks! Please share. ALT text now included (apologies!)
Hi everyone, this Friday is the hearing for the AG’s request for a temporary restraining order on Trump’s EO for gender affirming care for WA, OR, & MN states. It’s open to the public so please consider coming. The Assistant AG said people showing up can make a difference to the judge. Specifically, “It’s really about a show of how many people care about this issue and how important it is…It would be awesome if there was a lot of attention and huge number of people showing up but that’s not really typical at these type of hearings.” Here’s the info if you can make it:
AG’s hearing on Gender Affirming Care
Friday, 2/14 at 10am, Seattle Federal Courthouse
700 Stewart St, Room 15106 (15A)
