Bee-eater NW over Budle Point yesterday! Knew this species was on the cards, but had to work for it. Now 20% (5 of 25) Northumberland records have been on wider Budle peninsula and all between 22nd May and 6th June.

Came across this mixed-singing Willow Warbler in Northumberland last year. Put out a recorder and in 81 hours of recording it sang c.19,000 Willow Warbler songs and c.6,000 Chiffchaff songs.

Back with the Long Nanny geese today. Very difficult viewing here, lots of hedges and no gaps ! I parked by a gateway but could only see maybe 1/4 of the flock. 1 Tundra Bean and 33 Russian White-fronts amongst the birds I could see, I'm sure there will be others lurking. #NEbirding
