Clevatess (Season 2) 6/10 Sidelining the best parts of the first season for a magical school heist arc was...a choice. Didn't even end up being a proper heist.

Orb -On the Movements of the Earth- 9.5/10 A little embarrassed to admit I didn't get to this until now, but an amazing story of skepticism in a society of absolute piety.

Listen to me. You have to watch The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance. You have to see these fucking puppets dude. There's a puppet show within the show where the puppets are using puppets and it fuckin rips shit. The skeksis are so shitty and I love them and they are all my friends.

Black Torch 7/10 Looked good, good fights, felt rushed though, like cramming the first half of YuYu Hakusho into 12 episodes.

And I'm trying to be careful about how I word things when the dub slate is disappointing because I don't want to be used in some activist investor's ploy to throw AI in the creative process, but when almost half the English dub slate is isekai or escapist fantasy...

Spoops of Justice @rootsofjustice.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Oh wow, besides like two things and some sequels, that dub slate is *bleak*, especially looking at what other languages are getting.

I had this idea from reading the elizabeth holmes mouse post and then I couldn't do anything else until i painted the idea to completion

It is a cartoon mouse, like Jerry from Tom and Jerry, shaped like a wedge of cheese presumably because it has eaten a wedge of cheese. The mouse has Elizabeth Holmes' face. The mouse is saying "Why would I deceive you? There's no reason for me to do that."

Nathan Fielder, looking into a fridge where the mouse has eaten a cheese, says skeptically "Okay. Alright."

Funniest part about this is they didn't even bother AI dubbing the Trump scene at the end of episode 11. It's exactly as presented in the Japanese version.

Now that I’ve had a day to process it, I think I can say: Coyote vs Acme will be one of the year’s 5 best films, no question. It respects what made the OG cartoons great. Improves on them by bringing them up to date, giving them an emotional core, and a clear-eyed reflection of current reality.

I gave it a moment of benefit of the doubt that it might just be SEA and not meant as a US audience first production, but you can hear the same kinds of issues the Banana Fish 'dub' had.
