People get mad when they think their money is being wasted. If you make public services more efficient actually hiring the appropriate number of staff, invest in proper digitalisation etc across the public sector rather than piecemeal, you might get better results.

I didn’t realise I’d been coercively controlled and raped until I went to therapy after the relationship ended. I didn’t report until 4 years after that. Rape and the trauma caused by it is not a linear process.
