In Colorado, we went to historical re-enactment sites to pan for gold, visited the Cliff Dwellings in Mesa Verde National Park, went to the top of Pikes Peak, and camped at the Great Sand Dunes. Lots of time in nature and learning about Native history, which was super cool as a kid.

Charcoal embers cooling deep in the hearth. Molten metal fresh from the forge, ready for smithing. Ash and soot. The first distant birdsong on a grey morning. #romulore

So far the only person Romulus has canonically had sex with is Raubahn, toward the end of ARR. The two have a close, trusting relationship still, but they will always be brothers in arms first. This is a snippet from my notes from over a year ago: #wolqotd #Romulore

its my birthday so im impulse posting my somewhat unfinished romeric art #myart #wolmeric #ffxiv

digital fanart piece depicting aymeric de borel of ffxiv and a male xaela warrior of light, Romulus, with long dark hair with orange tips pulled back in a ponytail. romulus gently tilts aymeric’s chin up toward him with scarred fingers and the two share a fond look. they are lit softly with desaturated colors

Shipping wol with aymeric is crazy a little bit bc not only do we kill his bio father who turned himself into a primal but we also kill his god too and he still worships the ground we walk on. Wild stuff.

Romulus’ father was a master swordsmith and samurai who taught Rom to wield a sword from a young age, but treated him as just another tool in his workshop. His mother was born of the Mol clan and blessed with visions, her head in far off clouds.

Romulus dreams vividly and often. They weren’t prophetic until his Echo awoke in the lead up to the Calamity, where he had days of intense visions he could barely understand. After that, it was like his dreams took over reality, bordering on psychosis. It took him years to get on solid ground again.

romulus @romuleaux.bsky.social · 25/08/2025

Rom was trained as a samurai and martial artist from a young age, but after his father’s death he fled his home and vowed to never pick up a sword again. Training as a monk felt familiar and structured and offered him a sense of control over his Echo visions and the chaotic life of an adventurer

in @laspocelliere.bsky.social and @duskwightdancer.bsky.social 's modern AU, Rom would have grown up tinkering in his father's small town mechanic shop. His chocobo, Mulberry, is his motorcycle. After spending some time in prison for Reasons, he leaves town to reinvent himself (proxy for wol stuff)
