When G'raha Tia awoke in his Tower to the Warrior of Light smiling and crying tears of what seemed to be joy, or perhaps hope, overtop of him, he didn't know how to feel. He had no idea how much time had passed, what may have occurred, what caused them to weep, or – least of all – what was to come for him.

There had been barely any explanation given to him as, what he would come to learn, was the soul transfer vessel of the Exarch – another version of himself, of his soul – was thrust towards him while the Warrior looked on with so much hope in their eyes. He'd do anything for them, do anything to please his inspiration, his lodestar, his hero… so he made no comment to them on how excruciating the merging of souls was.

Celestaux physically can, but he gets teleportation sickness soooo easily. The longer the distance, the more it makes him sick and the longer he is out of commission for. He gets migraines of varying intensity and just every part of him aches. So he teleports only when necessary. #farmboylore

It started slowly, almost imperceptively.

G'raha Tia hadn't noticed it at first, hadn't noticed the pin prick of crystal that started on his chest, just above his heart. It was an annoyance, an itch.

When he did notice it, he rationalized it away. It was a trick of the light, a scab from some wound that only looked to be crystal – anything other than the truth. He wasn't yet ready for the truth.

Though, nothing could've truly prepared him for the truth.

The winters had always been harsh in Coerthas – never as bad as the days that her people knew not were coming in their futuure, but harsh nontheless. The lakes and rivers froze over, fields were blanketed in thick layers of snow, and the winds whipped down off the mountains. Every child grew up with the knowledge of the dangers of the winters.

All of those warning had gone from his mind, though, as Stephanivien ran away from his sister, laughing as he chased her with a snowball.
