The one that sent me over the edge was the guy, who, after a lengthy exchange about the slow cooker I was giving away on freecycle, asked me to call and remind him to pick it up. No. Not doing that.

Happy #CtenophoreDay! 🦑🐙🧪 I’m an equal-opportunity cteno celebratory so I observe both October 4th and April 10th when it comes to appreciating our shared cousins that have been out doing their own thing for hundreds of millions of years.
You’re invited! To celebrate your most distant animal cousins you may not even have heard of… text is rainbow and surrounded by gooey transparent animals with rainbows running down their bodies CTENOPHORES sometimes pronounced
"Ten-oh-fours

Their beating ctenes bend the light, causing rainbows to dance down their bodyWe celebrate ctenophores on October 4th and on April 105) because their name sounds like 10/04 (ten oh four) Participating in #Docktober on Ctenophore Day? Too soon Save On. Too soon.
The image captures a realistic scene of three Dairyland Egg Nog cartons displayed on a metal shelf in what appears to be a grocery store. The cartons are predominantly red with a festive design, featuring subtle dark red holly leaves and golden berries scattered across the surface. Each carton has a prominent golden, ornate label in the center, boldly displaying the brand "Dairyland" at the top, followed by "EGG NOG" in large white letters, and "original" in a smaller, script-like font at the bottom. Above the main label, each carton features a white square label with a magnifying glass icon, stating "High in Sugars" and "Health Canada" below, indicating a nutritional warning. On the very top flap of each carton, there is a "BEST BEFORE MEILLEUR AVANT" date and time printed in black text, with the leftmost and rightmost cartons showing "OC 17 4289 17:47" and the middle one showing "OC 17 4289 17:46". The cartons are arranged side-by-side, standing upright on a silver metallic shelf. Above them, another metallic shelf is visible, and in the background, out-of-focus shelves hold additional products, suggesting a retail environment. The lighting is bright and artificial, common in stores, illuminating the products evenly. The overall atmosphere suggests a seasonal product display.

this article conflates Radithor, a patent medicine that contained radioactive isotopes, with the Revigator, a very mildly radioactive water vessel that was supposed to irradiate your water overnight. Radithor could kill you; what this chud is drinking is water with trace amounts of poison.

I noticed today that the geese are quite busy practicing their upcoming departure in 1/2 V formations, flying low and all talking to each other "yep that's the right direction for the sun angle, that's what we do when windy, careful of your alignment back there Bob."

In 1897 the Challinor, Taylor & Co. made a duck on nest to try to steal the fame from Atterbury. It was an OK attempt. May I present: the CT&Co. duck. My very first, original, 130 year old copycat. It’s not often you get an original “knockoff” that is, itself, an antique.

Not content with what they did to Europe, the Germans created a gun game based on Bambi to fuel your trauma. Schießautomat (Shooting machine) was an influential Dale Gun-style cabinet released in 1956. See more from @cpi.pinball.horse: earlyarcadesjapan.blogspot.com/2024/02/1963...
