I'm pleased and mildly surprised that changing the Shark robot vacuum's battery restored it to being functional. It connected right to the WiFi, and is now blissfully running into things downstairs (bless its heart).

My mom was blind, and I don't remember her ever touching my face like in movies or TV shows. Or my dad's. She didn't know I'd shaved half my head until the neighbor mentioned it (I'd also dyed my hair black). She was mortified.

Four years ago I was in a place to pay for my car with cash, and I did. But it was an illuminating process: the dealership *did not* want to do it. They couldn’t say no, obviously, but they fought me at every step. That’s when I realized they weren’t in the business of selling cars, but rather debt.

I've been watching The Pendragon Cycle, and I haven't decided yet what I think of it yet. I'm not a big Arthurian mythology buff, but I've read The Once and Future King and maybe a couple of other books, so I have a general idea of it. I've just not read Stephen R. Lawhead.

I think GE tried to get clever with the cleaning cycles on our new ice maker, by tying what mode it goes in when the cleaning button is pressed (three minute sanitize vs 55 minute descale) based on which light is on (descale or sanitize), PLUS if the cleaning button is tapped vs. pressed.

I feel like there's a correlation between national holidays in India and activity in our neighborhood. This evening, there were cars parked up and down the street, and one house changed its exterior lighting (they have a cool lighting setup). It could be unrelated, but today is Ghandi's birthday.
