I was washing the car today and found out the moon roof is cracked. No idea when that happened; the last time I hand washed it was a few months ago, and it wasn't like that then.

If the Atlas really thinks you’re breaking it in a way that’s unfun, they can take away an inventory item or give you two harm, but don’t be a jerk, Atlas. Explain how this works narratively — cat portals are allowed.

Yeah, I understand your frustration. Don't foist that frustration on me for pointing out an "obvious" solution. You 100% have the ability to rename and/or file your pdfs in a sensible way as you acquire and store them. Could the publishers make that marginally easier? Sure? But to whose standard?

I finally pulled the trigger on a Revoltech VF1-S Strike Valkyrie. I've always wanted to get one of these, and I found a reasonable price for it. I'm doomed now, aren't I @chronopunk.bsky.social ?

I really like this cart. It has space for everything I had in three toolboxes plus more I'm going to put into it. There's a screwdriver holder on the other side. And it's compact. I also already have stickers on it.

Found this going through old albums. It's a pretty cool account of our family.

It was about the year 1900 when Mary Ramsey Meyer and John Meyer left Pickens to go to Oklahoma. If you can contact an old fellow by the name of Jasper Ball in Pickens he will tell you a lot about them.

I have heard two stories as to why the rest of the family went West one from my mother who said Uncle John Meyer wrote back glowing reports of the country and talked the old folks into it. Another story just last year from Viola Gaines Baxter who said Grandpa Ramsey had asthma very badly and needed a better climate.

Anyway Grandpa Ramsey sold everything they had and on the morning of March 7, 1903 they arrived at Shattuck, Oklahoma. The entire party consisted of several people Grandma and Grandpa Ramsey, Florence Ramsey and Clarence, Charlie Ramsey with his wife and two children, Margaret and William Berkey and two children (Mabel and Walter) I am not sure if Aunt Mary's daughter and family Susan and George Sandy and children were in the party or not rather think they came later.

Poor old Grandpa got the shock of his life when he saw the country. They arrived via the Atchinson, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad before daylight that morning. He couldn't wait until day came to see the place. As soon as they could see he and my mother took a walk to the end of the main street where they looked out over the prairie His words were "Maggie there isn't a damned thing in, sight!" There sure wasn't!

Uncle John Meyer met them with three covered wagons and they began the trek over the rough prairie to the Meyer homestead.

Uncle Charlie and his family stayed about a year and then returned to West Virginia. Aunt Milia couldn't take it -

They all soon "staked" their claims and began the grim task of "proving" them up. Perhaps if you have never heard of the procedure it was this after living on the land for five years and making a home they had "proved" the claim and got title for it from the government. There were many who did not stick it out and left.

I've been kind of radio silent because of dealing with post-move cleaning and such. But I did get my bookshelf and display case set up. The nonsense l bookcase is lit with faerie lights but it's kinda hard to see.

Oh my fucking God, I've found the "Hot Topic goths aren't real goths" attitude all over again. Fuck off with this, the "subculture" has always been about appearances more than anything else. Even the musical idols of the genre are embarrassed by how some of their fans act.

My daily dog walks are over four miles total now. It's such a pleasant walk, down the street and then a path around a park. The dog saw his first snake today, a garter snake on the path. He kind of ignored it, until it moved, and then he nearly jumped on me. "WTF, sticks move?!"
