Canadian. Paying attention. "...when feeling decreases.. apathy increases, when one cannot affect or even genuinely touch another person, violence flares up as a daimonic necessity for contact, a mad drive forcing touch in the most direct way possible."

Ivan Turgenev's "Execution of Troppmann" is a short essay, published in 1870, that gives a first-hand account of the writer attending a public execution in Paris. Turgenev's details how the drunk, unruly crowd turned a somber moment into a carnival. A deeply moving essay; I encourage you to read it.

Complaining does nothing. Amazon profits even when a book is AI or plagiarised. They're so deeply invested in AI that they're desperate to get a return on investment. The kindle store is flooded with AI, and Amazon even offers a free generated translation service. They do not care about authors.
