Thanks to Marina’s hard work and wizardry setting up recordings with belts to measure breathing, video cameras and mics, we were able to take a first look at breathing in interactional today, starting with a word search — the start of some exciting work!

Not sure I've seen this change-in-progress in writing before. The verb 'are' agrees with the things just before it ('bikes' and 'larger items'), not with 'space', which is the (singular) subject of the verb.
A sign on board an LNER train in the UK. "Storage space for bikes and larger items of luggage available on this train."

In response to my rant yesterday, I was asked how we can make better parks and other public places for teenage girls? What do they want? I have answers to this, so now a positive 🧵. Starting in Sweden, where this was co-designed by teenage girls.

A busy figure showing how reduction of different types of multimodal signals reduces over experimental rounds (with a comparison of how a non-linear signal following a power law can be transformed to a linear slope using a log-transformation).
