Well I guess I'm not getting my question answered, then... A shame really. Would have loved to have seen how $20 of slop could improve my life!

For those (like myself) in the mood to watch some Sam Neil movies, check out The Dish. It's a comedic dramatization of the dish in outback Australia that broadcast the moon landing. RIP to an absolute legend. :( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dish

Loved the Mandalorian and Grogu. Don't go into it expecting high cinema. Its a fun ride that moves at a clip. Heaps of "omg FINALLY we see X in live action!" without relying on constant member-berries. It's like a giant episode of the Mandalorian with a big budget, from season one specifically.

Went to Drem last night. I cannot stress this enough, my face still physically hurts from laughing so much. These guys don't miss, but this one was special. Also loved the cheeky little inclusions from @tonymartin.bsky.social. Amazing job, fellas.

Some interesting stuff in the new starter set for #StarWarsUnlimited. Mostly too underpowered for competative play, and imo that's a good thing. Luke is a corner case however, and that might be concerning for deck pricing. Also, the first %100 strictly/ better worse pair of cards now exists.

"Open Fire" SWU card.
3 Cost in the aggression aspect to deal 4 damage to any 1 unit.

"We're In Trouble" SWU card.
3 Cost in the aggression aspect to deal 3 damage to any 1 unit. A Strict downgrade on Open Fire.

Luke Skywalker SWU Card for the battle of hoth starter set.
A 7 Cost 6/6 Unit in the command/ heroic aspects. Has Restore 2 and deals 3 to any ground unit when played.

Just rolled out the first update to the range of gaming tokens I'm selling online. Feels like a big step after moving both my home and business. :) Added some new tokens compatible with X-wing and SWU. www.geekybits.com.au/blogs/news/u... #StarWarsUnlimited #X-wing #TabletopGaming

TCGplayer (seemingly arbitrarily) hasn't shipped to Australia for some time, so could I ask others to boycott extra hard on our behalf? :)

Love a cheeky cross-set synergy. The design work in this game reminds me of how I felt about MTG back when I started playing that many years ago. #StarWarsUnlimited #SWU

Really digging the Legends design space in the upcoming SWU set. At first I was concerned that Revan would suffer too much from lacking a second aspect (for seemingly not much gain). I now find myself wondering how viable mono black will be once the set drops... #StarWarsUnlimited #SWU

Not sure how I feel about the implementation of the force in #SWU. Using thr force being a parasitic mechanic (only interacts with game pieces that directly refer to itself) seems odd. Why not represent force use by exhausting friendly force units? Curious to see how it plays. #StarWarsUnlimited

I got to reveal some new Standard Loadout cards designed by the XWA for X-wing. 😀 The Scum faction is finally getting some attention with pre-built loadouts, and I gotta say these designs are fantastic! ⬇️ Cards images in the comments belows. ⬇️ #X-wing #XWA #Spoilers

I suddenly realized while pondering possible "fixed" versions of Confiscate, we already have them printed. They even scale up in cost to allow leader-upgrade targeting, with a little extra upside! Not sure what the devs intentions are, but I feel keeping this effect in red is a strong move. #SWU

So the Spongebob secret lair are non mechanically unique reprints? Awesome! To me this sidesteps basically all the fundamentl issues with UB. I view these as just another alt art/ proxy option. Choices are a good thing, and if some Spongebob fans jump onboard then it's win/win. #MTG #Spoilers

Went 2-1 at a JTL prerelease with Boba blue. Set seems great for limited, very aggressive. Boba is nuts! Also, cracked a Vader unit. :) #StarWarsUnlimited #SWU #JumpToLightspeed

Really great article. I kind of feel like MTG has languished in it's core balance philosophy. Creatures adhering to "the vanilla test" feels antiquated with current power creep. SWU really hammering down it's balancing standards like this is a great move and inspires much confidence! #SWU

Shadows of the Empire video media. I'm thinking like a limited animated series or something like that. Oh, and renewing the Acolyte for like.... 3 more seasons.

(First image is a JTL spoiler thanks to @holocroncardhub.bsky.social translated) Becoming more and more concerned with the hyper-efficient removal suite Yellow-Black is getting access to. Although I am happy this one can't hit leaders, like NGTMD does (a mistake on that card, imo). #SWU #Spoilers

My call for the most impactful leader from JTL is Major Vonreg. I feel in terms of the 4R aggro leaders he asks the least in terms of deck building. Solid, versatile, and efficient stats/ effects. Deploys nicely on several different vehicle units, paired with Yellow. #SWU #StarWarsUnlimited

Love this for SWU. I feel like from a playability/ competative standpoint it might just be aweful. But this kind of fun explorative design is just what the game needs. Also, perfect at legendary. Keep the staples at lower rarity. (Spoiled by Unplayable on YT) #SWU #StarWarsUnlimited #Spoiler

This looks fantastic! Interesting to see a major Japanese brand moving into the TT mini gaming space like this, the impression I got was mini gaming just isn't that big in Japan. If this is priced like other Gunpla, I think some people are going to get a rude awakening regarding TT prices.
