In Welsh mythology, the immortal hunter Mabon was stolen from his mother Modron as a child. He is freed from prison by King Arthur and his warriors, as Mabon is the only man who can catch the dog Drudwyn (who in turn is the only dog who can track the monstrous boar Twrch Trwyth). #WyrdWednesday

Ratatoskr the squirrel lives amongst the branches of Yggdrasil, running messages from its branches to its roots. Sometimes, however, the squirrel’s quarrelsome nature takes over and it laces its news with “slanderous gossip”, causing discord between the denizens of the World Tree. #WyrdWednesday
