The lack of medical providers masking this morning, despite posted reasons for everyone to do so, led to other thoughts. In the next pandemic we may lose our health workers first. Besides those getting ill, there are many who have said they won’t work another pandemic.

Went to a medical facility this morning for a follow up. Sign before entering the door said if you’ve been exposed to measles wear a mask. A little further in the door was a sign that Covid was increasing so a mask was suggested. Number of medical staff wearing mask zero.

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today. A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field. Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

Happy national fox day 🦊 I didn't even know that was a thing until after I finished this design, ahah! #formline #indigenousart #telekitneticart #nationalfoxday
A formline design of a red fox. The background is a gradient dark teal, and the fox is a striking rust-orange, with gradienting darker umber on its snout and tail, and pale yellow chest/ear fluff and tail tip. It has it's tail wrapped around it's body, hiding its legs. It's head is angled to the left side.

RABID BAT FOUND ON SIDEWALK
On Tuesday, September 15 at about 12pm, a bat was found on the sidewalk on Hennepin Ave between N. Washington Ave and N 3°St.
The bat died and was sent for rabies testing. This bat tested positive for
rabies.
A woman was seen crouching by the bat and putting it into a bag. She was described as a 25-to-30-year-old white woman, about 5'5", with curly brown hair and a curly-haired golden retriever-like dog. If this was you, please call 911 and ask to be connected to Animal Care & Control.

If vou did not touch or have any contact with the bat, you have no risk of rabies and do not need shots.

Recently, a disabled person not far from here had a procedure that was long overdue. One of the first things noted by their care team is that they are sleeping better. Delay caused by doctors who thought it wasn’t medically necessary. Imagine there will be less of other medical issues too.
