My dad, the absolute centre of my world, suffered a stroke on Tuesday evening, killing his brain stem. Essentially, he's not there anymore, but basic functions continue. We're waiting for his body to pass, but don't know how long that will take. Wherever he is, I hope he found mum again.

Cancer wasn't even on the radar for mum. It came up in bloodwork for something else. We never expected it, and less than two months later, she was gone. Cancer is insidious, it's so easy to miss or dismiss until it's too late.

This is good news. And no, poor families do NOT have to have Netflix to access Sesame Street. Netflix will release episodes to PBS the *same day* they drop on Netflix, which is significantly better than the prior deal with HBO, which delayed episodes for 9 MONTHS before porting them over to PBS.

Exactly. Obviously I know what happens in the books, but they made it really clear in that ep he cares about the team and has reasons not to trust Murderbot. And it was down to little things as well, like dancing even though he's awkward.

That was a lot of fun. There are differences - missing characters, and additions to the story - but it all makes sense for a book to screen adaptation, and the vibe and spirit is intact. I thought the 25 mins episode length was going to bother me, but oddly it works. Roll on next week.
