Any excuse to eat salmon is a good one, and @jessieatkin.bsky.social's launch is the best! Jessie also sent me a video of her twin and baby niece reading the book. Her niece gleefully slapped every page (I'm assuming she approves) and filled in "noodles" at the end. I love kidlit so very much.

When I finally had health insurance (before I was laid off from my day job for the second time in 15 months), I COULDN'T AFFORD TO USE IT. I budget very carefully and forego a lot of basics to exist. These people are so deeply, deeply cruel. It's fucking breathtaking.

Pleased to report that my boyfriend's crows love me more than him. And sure, it might be the freeze dried chicken hearts and cat treats, but securing affection through providing food has gotten me through my first 4 decades and I see no reason to stop now.
