September 30th vs October 1 (Pics by Vintage Girl Studios) #SpookySeason #VintageStyle #NewEnglandGothic
Beth Ann Gallagher posed sitting down at an angle with her right hand resting on the floor behind her and her left hand resting along her leg. She's wearing a 1950s style, black velvet, starlet dress with a sweetheart neckline and 3/4 length sleeves. She wears a silver starburst broach part way down the left side of her dress along the neckline. Her copper red hair has two victory rolls on top, but the rest of her hair cascades down behind her in loose curls. Her fingernails are painted bright red. She wears a rose gold wedding band on her ring figure. A sparkly, silver filigree earring is visible dangling from her left ear. She's wearing bright red lipstick of course! The background of the picture is light gray, and her shadow is partially visible behind her.Beth Ann Gallagher poses in a bright red, sleeveless, sequined, cowl neckline, hooded dress. A cascade ruffle runs along the front of the dress waist down. The hood is up, and her copper red hair peeks out of the hood in waves. Her face is pointed up at an angle, like she's looking haughtily down on the viewer. She's wearing a rose gold wedding band on her ring finger. Both of her arms are up at an angle because she's touching the neckline of her dress on each side. Her partially opened and unsmiling mouth is outlined in dark red lipstick. Behind her is a haunted house scene of a spooky painting, cobwebs, spider legs, and a partially visible white skull.

Waiting to see if this nor'easter gets as bad as predicted. The local fauna can sense it. Early Wednesday evening, a murder of fish crows changed their flight pattern. Normally they fly straight over my house at that time.

Switching to my #SpookySeason profile pic!
The photo shows a red-lipped, smiling Beth Ann Gallagher in a vintage style pinup photo with a Halloween theme. She's wearing a red sequined, sleeveless, hooded gown. The hood is up, and some of her copper hued, wavy locks frame her face as they peek out from underneath the hood. In her right hand she holds a "bloody" knife pointing downward. She's resting her left hand on a Jack O'Lantern, which is glowing from inside. Some nearly bare, dark branches decorate the left, upper corner of the background. In the right, upper corner the Art Deco, black Spellbound with Beth Ann logo floats.

I ran around #SouthCoastMA repping one of my favorite film festivals today! #SFSFF #SilentFilm #FilmSky
Beth Ann Gallagher stands in her yard in front of trees and English ivy. She's wearing a black, vintage tee bought from the San Francisco Silent Film Festival. Its slogan "True art transcends time" floats above a still of Louise Brooks in PANDORA's BOX (1929). It's the moment her widowed character all dressed in black lifts her mourning veil while staring at the camera. The film festival's logo is partially obscured by folds across the lower tee.

SPERDVAC put together "a collection of downloads of the recently departed Peggy Webber, including her original productions, classic radio performances and interviews/panels at SPERDVAC events." Here's a link to that Dropbox. (LA Weekly photo) #OTR www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/kz16f...
The now late, elderly actress, Peggy Webber holds a radio play in a theatre. She wears a black top and a single strand of pearls, and her slightly wild, white hair is tied back. She appears to be speaking to someone off-camera in front of a microphone that points off the right edge of the photo. Rounded-top seats in row-after-row are behind her. They nearly fade back into infinity, but a wall with framed pictures makes the illusion stop.

COYOTE VS ACME is an art-imitates-life triumph, the wittiest embodiment of the LOONEY TUNES ethos in years. I understand why Zaslav tried to kill it; it’s an indictment of the model that makes men like him rich. So many familiar characters, all deployed like the 1930s WB stock company. A delight.
