I've done experienced all three, and alcohol was by far the worst. I had a medical detox from opioids - so that was a pleasant blur. Ive gone off 2 or 3 SSRIs suddenly, and the "brain zaps" and "weird" dreams and ideas are nothing to sneeze at, but agreed - also nothing like DTs

I specialize in being a drug user and (sometimes recovering) addict, and speak from lived experience. It's disingenuous to suggest that SSRI's do not have significant symptoms associated with sudden discontinuation. Symptoms that amount to more than being "uncomfortable" but they aren't addictive.
