Reminder: Macklemore released a 2nd Hind's Hall, which featured the LA Palestinian Kids Choir, Palestinian-American singer Anees, MC Abdul from Gaza, and Palestinian-American comedian Amer Zahr. All proceeds went to UNRWA. The man stands on business. I can never not cry watching this though.

Reading June Jordan's poetry, after stumbling across these amazing opening lines: "I SAID I LOVED YOU AND I WANTED GENOCIDE TO STOP" Her writing is brilliant, beautiful + so much else. Including the devastation that her poems (1982, 1998 etc) still speak to current genocides.

With all the hand-wringing over Hanson and her "mystery" rise, it's worth remembering Nine secretly flew her to clamber all over Uluru (with disgraced chief-of-staff Ashby). Nine then labeled it a "social division" - a "culture war" that had "divided the nation"... theklaxon.com.au/ulurustitch-...

When I began my undergraduate studies at Macquarie University (1980), senior ‘management’ were the cream of the crop of academia. They’d built the University, set its academic direction & stepped into management only to help others flourish, with the belief of working at scale was meaningful 🤷🏻‍♀️😩

Condemning riots isn't enough. We need policy action, including an immediate appraisal of X as a vehicle for coordinating far-right disorder. And we need political leadership, to challenge white nationalism as an idea, not to validate it daily and then complain when it turns violent.

It’s fine if you disagree with today’s ruling in Brendan Sorsby’s case. But the solution isn’t a new federal law giving the NCAA the antitrust exemption it craves. It’s collective bargaining, with the players treated as employees and the employees represented by a union.
