Even aside from the US's even more reprehensible than usual behaviour toward the rest of the world deterring visitors, it's just far more unsafe than ever for a lot of people to attempt to cross their border. Just entering poses an unacceptably high risk of serious harm or worse at the moment.

absolutely fucking incredible news for public health in canada that a safer supply organization successfully fought the constitutionality of drug possession trafficking laws for not providing any legal way to operate. selfless life-saving work that is actually being identified and respected as such.

But in her judgment on their constitutional challenge on Tuesday, Murray concluded that a non-medicalized safer supply program is urgently needed to save lives.

And with no legal source of drugs available for such a program, and no legal "safety valves" in the CDSA that would support setting one up, she found such a program "is legally and practically incapable of being exempted."

She said part of the CDSA "unjustifiably infringes" on two parts of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and deprives DULF members the "right to life and security of the person."

She gave Parliament six months to find a way to allow for a "pathway to non-medicalized safer supply."

Hm. 🐈🐉 wearing a removable nose cone like it's a muzzle, but they're *actually* just wearing it for aerodynamic reasons. (You can tell it's just aerodynamic because it does absolutely nothing to obstruct or restrict their maw. It does *nothing* but help them fly faster and more quietly.)

most "bad behavior" by bikes is from trying to defuse tense traffic interactions! go on walk sign so the cars aren't yelling at you getting up to speed, running a red while checking to get the erratic driver swerving into the bike lane a cycle behind you, taking a lane to show it's unsafe to pass
