I am unfortunately likely to need to get a new TV sometime in the near future. Currently have a 55" LG OLED55B9PLA, ideally looking for something comparable with no forced AI shite or any other intrusive nonsense. If anyone has personal recommendations or links to good guides it'd be appreciated.

Danny Dyer was surprisingly hilarious on SNL UK and loved how up for the absurdity he clearly was. Weekend Update is still the funniest part of the show by far, especially this week with a wee bit of Fouracres in there.

Just randomly remembering that time I recorded a pilot episode of a game music podcast then got "fired" from the website (I was working at for free) before it could go any further.

This sucks for many reasons. But I think it's worth emphasizing how selfish and duplicitous it is to go work with a public-facing, community-focused media org like MinnMax without disclosing this part of your past to them. (MinnMax confirmed to me they were not told.) Please support them if you can

I do think an important aspect of last night's Dynamite is that it chips away at a kind of toxic masculinity that says men don't cry. Everyone last night was bawling and the ones that weren't actively crying were supporting the ones that were. I think it's necessary to internalize that.

Emi Sakura's post about PAC is breaking my heart

The first time I spoke with him was in Ireland in 2018. When you're living in an English-speaking country, Japanese suddenly reaches your ears in a startling way. Our conversations always started with his "Otsukaresamade-su." Backstage, I wouldn't sense his presence at all, but then those words would arrive right by my ear like the wind. And so I'd search for him. There's no English phrase that translates it just right—its meaning encompasses hello, long time no see, glad to see you, good work, goodbye, good night, see you later, and all sorts of other things rolled into one. I think it's the kind of greeting that comes from the way he's confronted pro wrestling in Japan. It's time. As always, I grab my bag and climb into the car. I can't believe the show goes on. Today and from here on out, forever, I know I'll keep straining to listen. Thank you, PAC.

AEW All Out had the impossible task of following up on one of their best shows of all time. While it obviously didn't come close to that show, there were some incredible matches on what was a really fun show overall. Okada Vs Ciampa was definitely a highlight for me, a masterclass.

Halo Combat Evolved
Mass Effect
Rocket League
Ghost of Tsushima
