Technique:
Combines traditional intaglio etching with reflective, contemporary materials like holographic paper and mirrored mylar.

Visual Metaphor:
The reflective and shifting holographic elements interact with light as the viewer moves, linking internal emotional states with natural and cosmic imagery.

Context:
Created alongside related 2015 multi-plate series such as Esperanza and the Goat Moths collection.

It's spooky month! 👻 DYK, some of the earliest documents discussing ghosts ever written (impressed?) are cuneiform tablets from over 3,500 years ago. They write of gidim (ghosts) as an everyday concern; suggesting the idea of ghosts are at least as old (probably much older) than writing itself.🏺

A tablet from ancient Southwest Asia bearing a faint tracing (enhanced by white lines) of a ghost with its hands bound being led by a woman, possibly a lover.
