Here's a list of all game devs Microsoft owns(list by gamesradar). Basically a solid chunk of the industry and many good rpg devs. I don't really know how to feel about boycott because I don't want to see Obsidian gone just because they are owned by a megacorp that runs much of the IT industry.

Real good bit about the slippery slope of genAI use. A battle we're already fighting, especially against the C-suite.

Text clip from the Harvard Gazette article:

He continued, “Whatever your chosen profession is, please don’t let AI rob you of the fun part of it. Your generation’s upcoming battle won’t be humans against AI; that’s at least two months away. … It’s going to be people with substance versus people with shallow knowledge. It’s going to be mastery versus faking it. It’s going to be people with good taste versus tacky. I trust you will put in the work necessary to be on the right side of those battles.”

I love how the Western Jack Bros cover art goes so hard. It's so funny how they crop off swole Jack Frost on the cover - he was too powerful, he had to be restrained

This is Natty. He's the first official team dog for the Washington Nationals. He makes his big-league debut on Friday and will learn basic skills and socialization with the team before he goes on to formal service dog training with Canine Companions. 13/10

a blond lab puppy about three baseballs tall wears a yellow and blue vest and sits on a wooden bench in the Washington Nationals' dugout. he looks at the camera with a tongue-out smile.

Natty, the blond lab puppy, sits in the infield of a baseball stadium wearing a Washington Nationals jersey that swallows him up. he looks seriously at the camera and has his front paw raised.

Natty is fast asleep with his chin resting on a baseball glove that is about twice the size of his head. there's a baseball inside the glove. it's exhausting work being a puppy.

Happy 30th birthday for the second time, Super Mario RPG! Hopping to Super Nintendo's in North America on this day in 1996. Now you'll have to test your wits with Squaresoft's “brain-bending” puzzles as well as Nintendo action, this ad declares. One of the core ZSNES memories games for me <3

A scan of a double page ad for Super Mario RPG. The big old Sword thingy rendered in 3D against an ominous blue background sprawls across the page, with Princess Peach looking helpless on the right. Game screenies and blurb on the left, alongside renders of characters to show off the 3Dness.

grief， i’ve learned， is really just love. it’s all the love you want to give but cannot. all that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes， the lump in your throat， and the hollow part of your chest.
