"Paper Cut," political cartoon by Pat Bagley Salt Lake Tribune, 9/18/26 www.sltrib.com/opinion/bagl...
In the the cartoon, a woman dressed in blue has a defiant look on her face, and is squeezed in the middle of a tightly coiled orange snake. The snake is labeled "Fascism". Her right forearm is pinned out of sight, in the coil. Only her upper torso head and upraised left arm are visible. Her holds a paper ballot, and there is a 270-degree swish in the air from her sweeping defense against the fascist snake, with her ballot. In place of a snake head, there is a big had holding a truncheon (with wrist loop), and the hand has been cleanly severed from the snake body, with a clean cut.
