2/ In the US, a major chemical incident happens every 2 days on average and 1 in 2 residents live in a "worst case scenario" disaster zone for a high-risk chemical facility.
A chemical emergency in Garden Grove sparked evacuations. The GKN Aerospace facility experienced a tank breach containing methyl methacrylate, raising explosion concerns.

1/ Plastic production is dangerous. Last week some 50,000 California residents evacuated their homes after a GKN Aerospace facility reported a leak from a massive tank storing 7,000 gallons (26,000+ litres) of MMA, a toxic and highly flammable chemical used to make plastic.
