Did you know that Joseph Smith told the Relief Society that part of their duties is to "expound scripture"? When did women actually do this?

This AI acts as a facilitater between students discussing culture-war topics, somewhat successfully. It helps keep students focused in a discussion and also offers to rephrase their position if it gets too heated. I can't decide if it's amazing or dystopian. swaybeta.ai/faq/

I was writer in residence at my local library this year. I got a message once from someone saying she had read my book through her library and then went out and bought 2 copies for the academic institution she works for. Libraries pay for books an introduce people to reading which helps writers.

if this "well, actually..." reply to a line of tennyson's is any indication, charles babbage would have been right at home here
He commented: ‘Sir: In your otherwise beautiful poem “The Vision of Sin” there is a verse which reads – “Every moment dies a man, Every moment one is born.” It must be manifest that if this were true, the population of the world would be at a standstill. In truth, the rate of birth is slightly in excess of that of death. I would suggest that in the next edition of your poem you have it read – “Every moment dies a man, Every moment 1 and 1/16th is born.” The actual figure is so long I cannot get it onto a line, but I believe the figure 1 and 1/16th will be sufficiently accurate for poetry. I am, Sir, yours, etc., Charles Babbage.’

I just noticed this fry sauce recipe on the Utah Trader Joe's reusable bag and it's incorrect. Utah fry sauce is made with ketchup and mayo—not hot sauce. Hot sauce will kill the average Utahn.
A close up of the recipe found on the bag saying to use 1 pt hot sauce and 1 pt mayonnaise.
