With a strange house to search and forest to explore, the witching hour has only begun. LocQuest localized the game into 10 languages, including handwriting and in-game textures.A quote from Chris Onorati, Founder at The Rat Zone: “LocQuest was the perfect partner for our localization needs. From the first emails to project conclusion, LocQuest was a joy to work with given how communicative, transparent, and professional they are. If game developers are artists than the same must be true about LocQuest’s team, who expertly adapted everything from the mundane to the bizarre to work for players all over the globe. With their extreme care and attention to detail, LocQuest will be our first stop for future localization support."The names and roles of all the localization managers, handwriting and graphic designers, translators, and LQA specialists involved in localizing the game.

54% - That's the percentage of translators (out of 235 respondents) who only receive minimal or no reference material whatsoever for the games they're working on. Remember that figure next time you read a translation that sounds off in context!

Since 2023, translators and interpreters have seen work dry up, rates plummet and their jobs reduced to editing AI-generated output. Some are leaving the field, others are considering bankruptcy. All despite any major upgrade in translation quality. This is how AI is killing translation work:
