Yeah, that's similar to my take. I initially thought that the show was playing its cards close to its chest before eventually pulling back to show the true scale for the story (like with the HBO 'Watchmen' series), but no, that was the extent of it for the Green Lantern Corps etc here. Ah well.

Even when people insist that I use AI to plan stuff (eg, travel information for work), I insist on going through the websites and maps myself because I want to figure out and understand what works best. Also, people who insist on AI rather than skilled labour (eg, designers) are cheap bastards.

Just because people had questions about it, doesn't mean that it was a success. I ended up fielding questions from my brother (who isn't a fan) because even he was baffled about the Billie Piper regeneration, and wanted to know what the context was. I told him that they were just winging it now.

Well, with the latest reboot coming out on the 16th, now's a good a time as any to rewatch 'Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie'. Got my Manga Entertainment DVD copy that I originally bought while at uni. The film is very daft, but it commits to the daftness, and the fight scenes are top-notch.

I really should rewatch that movie before the new one comes out. First saw it as a teenager in high school, where a censored cut of the film was included as a special feature on the PS2 'Street Fighter Anniversary Collection'. Ludicrous and brilliant stuff it was.

I've been enjoying 'Lanterns' and am looking forward to the season finale, but it sure would be nice if Warner Bros. could release the Blu-Ray for 'Green Lantern: The Animated Series' here in the UK. (It's a shame that we never got another season from it, because the show was great fun.)
