As Chirag says: more supply means more effective redistribution. A family given a housing voucher in a supply constrained market often never finds a home.

The truth is 2025 is a year where Databricks can raise more money than OpenAI whuke having a valuation of almost 1/3. Before going public, Databricks is close to finalizing a $9.5 billion round. This is what a generational company looks like. This is 3 billion more than OpenAI's round.

Are scaling laws around LLMs and the ROI from capex in AI of Big Tech slowing down? As LLMs grow larger, the costs of getting high-quality training data and scaling infrastructure increase exponentially, reducing the returns on performance improvement in new models.

One thing I proposed was to completely buy out the coal industry. For about 36b , you could buy all the coal plants (at a nice profit for owners ), give their customers 5 to 10 yrs to transition and give all employees full pay till retirement. Take out coal and other paths get simpler Thoughts?

a screenshot of a meme. It reads "the average income in the united states is $74,500. Excluding the top 10 Americans it's only $65,000, excluding the top 50 it drops to $48000, excluding the top 1000, it drops to just $35,500. This is misinformation.screenshot of a post. It says "I would delete the post, but it's created a massive amount of engagement, and a pretty damned good discussion. I don't have the time to compile the data to figure out the truth behind the graphic, but when I get the chance, I'll post one that's more accurate soon."screenshot of a comic. One guy says "anyway, I couldn't believe it when I saw that news". The other guy says "that's because the article you read was false, and here's the evidence it's false."

There is a two panel pause. The first guy says "well, even so, the fact that I could believe it tells you something about the current state of affairs". The second guy then screams endlessly for four panels.

The first guy says "everything all right". The second guy said "sorry, I meant to say gee whiz what an interesting way of thinking"
