One of the conditions that’s affecting the stability of #Tigray is indecision. When there is some kind of decision, even approved by super majority, the indecision to implement it is unbearably bad. The UN SDG 2030 target for neonatal mortality is <12deaths/1000 livebirths. Pre-war, the neonatal mortality prevalence rate was 7-10deaths/1000 livebirths. Our study found a reversal during the 2years #Tigray war to about 28·2deaths/1000 livebirths. @africasigessex.bsky.social @npr.org @jama.com
