Process stories track agency before structure. So, maybe even back then, there were the beginnings of the kinds of things you would come to care about in your work? End guess now.

The same could be said about why someone didn’t publish a significant finding. Many reasons might not have anything to do with work or science.

I’m sorry that your family continues to endure this. These kinds of outcomes need to stop. Without accountability, it’s hard to find closure. It shouldn’t require external pressure to see real change.

I also have to say this, as loudly as I can: this rule has to apply universally, to everyone, with no exceptions, no sweetheart deals, nothing. Period. Either something is wrong, or it is not. Doesn't matter if they're in political sympathy with you, useful to you, or if you owe 'em. No exceptions.

I am disappointed to see this kind of situation again. I hope that @polpsyispp.bsky.social takes this seriously and meaningfully addresses this instance and all others like it. Doing so would help to show that it takes its own values seriously, even when this might involve difficult self-reflection.

Happy to share a new paper in Environmental Politics w/ @jolanda-jetten.bsky.social & Sam Pearson. Across 105 countries (N = 101,956), people in fossil fuel reliant nations were less likely to see climate change as a government priority, more supportive of fossil fuel use, and less so of renewables.

Productivity can be overrated. Learning is a spiral. If you follow your questions, eventually you won’t be the same person who asked them in the first place. Thus, you might start to ask different questions. If a system is penalizing that, maybe it isn’t so interested in learning. 🌀
