Students who had better teachers become better teachers themselves. This makes intuitive sense to me (and matches things I’ve heard in conversation), but a 40% increase in teacher returns through these intergenerational spillovers is *wild* Check it out!

It sure doesn’t look it. One thing that is often misunderstood (not saying by you) is that doctors don’t automatically have training in public health. It’s a separate field from medicine. There are a lot of awesome docs that are also public health experts, but it’s not the factory setting.

I always knew that some in higher ed would be anti-CTL because they don’t actually care about teaching. I’m surprised that others are anti-CTL because we <checks notes> try to help students by helping faculty become the best teachers they can
