For the billionth time, "putting inspirational people" on British banknotes is a relatively modern phenomenon. Even the Queen didn't appear until 1960. Animals on money, however, are a much older idea. There was a wren on the farthing way back in 1937.

My publishers have sent me some graphics for Wayfarers and they’ve basically said, if I’m reading this right, that if I don’t share them on social media they’ll send the boys round. Modern publishing is brutal.
