I don't think the failure to release the files is primarily about Trump's appearance there. Like Epstein's point in keeping the files in the first place, knowing those names is POWER. See also: SCOTUS wins, media capitulations, law firms showing their bellies. I think these things are related.

5/ NPR should put together a feed of stories that are about rural America from across all of its offerings, that stations could run. For example, I just listened to a Living on Earth segment on how flooding is overwhelming rural septic systems. Very timely coverage for rural communities

This is *such* a great story. Especially when the developer behind this US Attorney’s phantom apartment tries to bully the Times Union reporter: “I know many many people at Fox. Such action would induce me to pen an op-ed in the NY Post”

The Times Union accepted Sabba's offer to provide photos verifying the interior renovations. But over the course of the
ensuing two days, he gave different excuses for why he could not locate the photos, berated the Times Union for pursuing the story, and questioned why the newspaper was seeking the pictures that he had offered to hand over.

"I hope you are not attempting to use this as a smear campaign against John whose entire family I know well (they are very honorable people) as that would greatly tarnish (the Times Union's) reputation and reduce it to the likes of a tabloid," Sabba
wrote in an email on Tuesday, just hours after offering to send the photos. "I know many, many people at Fox and such action would induce me to pen an op-ed in the New York Post noting how this 'hit piece' seemingly superseded actual news, considering all that is currently transpiring in New York, in America and worldwide, a viewpoint that would rival even the biased trash seen on The View."

Let's be clear that this thing Trump just said about having no trade deficits with any country would be far more radical, more disruptive, and more expensive, than every single leftist dream you have ever heard put together, including Medicare for All, Guaranteed Housing, and Universal Basic Income.

Trump said he’d spoken with several unidentified world leaders. He repeated that the goal of the tariffs is to fully eliminate bilateral deficits — a tall order for the world’s biggest economy where consumer spending, and cheap goods, is a core driver of growth.

“They’re dying to make a deal and I said, ‘We’re not going to have deficits with your country.’ We’re not going to do that, because to me a deficit is a loss. We’re going to have surpluses or, at worst, we’re going to be breaking even,” he said.

He is not equating Trump with God in this anecdote. God, in this anecdote, is behind the arrival of the would-be rescuers. He is equating Trump with the dying man's perception of God - which is markedly different from God. That's the point - that Trump supporters' perception is lethally flawed.
