I really cannot express enough how dangerous it is to be around pregnant people when you are sick. Maybe nothing goes wrong but maybe months later there is something wrong and it is unclear whether the illness you spread to them is to blame. You might not even remember, but they will.

It is in the shade of our carport. I think the mom can easily find it as the nest is visible from the spot. We did put a few things nearby in the hopes that cats can't see it from the street. I'm worried about the night. We called an animal rehab place. Is there something else we should do?

I don't know if I have any bird people who follow me but a very small mourning dove fell from their nest. It's very small, has some fluff but definite bald spots. We don't have a tall enough ladder to reach it back to the nest. We moved it from the pavement of our driveway.
