It's time for the media to stop referring to these positions as "radical leftist."

This. It has always been this. A sitting American president did this. And because he did this, he should have been convicted and put behind bars. And the fact that we never held him accountable for these crimes will forever stain this country. And we may never recover from it.👇

First of year Connecticut warbler. Looks like an adult female based on the clean yellow underneath and white eye ring with olive/ brown hood. First time getting a photo of one too thanks to a fellow birder who jumped in since my camera broke. #birding #birdphotography

People are falling for the DSA vs Establishment trap again. Didn’t we learn our lesson in 2016 and 2024? It’s the establishment’s job to build a coalition that can win EVERYWHERE. In some places, that means ultra-progressive. In others, it means establishment. The tent is big enough for all of us.

Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #BestOfTheMonth, so fav bird captures from August 2026. Hard to choose with trips to Maine, Alabama and Arizona and over 50 lifers! So one from each. Ferruginous Pygmy owl, swallow tailed kite and baby piping plover. Chosen 4 #birding experience not #birdphotography

Per @alan678.bsky.social, today’s #BirdOfTheDay is #Coastal&River, any coastal or river birds. The alt is #Rocky, birds with rocks 🪨. Sharing a recently fledged common tern from coastal Maine in late July

Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines. When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.

Get To Know Nature @gettoknownature.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
So I guess my best advice is, follow real people who love wildlife & want to protect it. People whose joy shines through. Who share their stories about being out in nature. People who interact with other nature lovers, photographers & artists. They’re way more likely to be showing you the real thing

I hired guides for a 1.5 of birding to help get on more species. I couldn't recommend Ezekiel Dobson and Nolan Walker with Arizona Birding Guides enough. So young and so damn talented and knowledgeable. It's inspiring. Zeke on Mt Lemmon and Nolan in the Sonoran Desert. #birding #birdphotography

The Rivoli's hummingbird is truly "magnificent". Look at the size difference compared to a broad-billed. And the color variation. The two on the branch are the same bird seconds apart. #birding #birdphotography

Auburn's fisheries and allied aquaculture school is one of the best in the world. It includes a 1600 acre property with over 200 ponds including hatcheries and harvest basins. You get a ton of bird species there including these three green herons #birding #birdphotography

Another memorable chase from earlier in the year. Spent the prior day looking for burrowing owls in the valley only to have this guy surprise me just south of the San Fran airport. He was about 15 ft off the path and as accommodating as it gets. #birding #birdphotography #owls

One of my favorite chases of the year was the bachman's sparrow. It's one of the few rarities where I targeted a habitat where there were no recent lists. In this case recently burned long leaf pine forest in AL. Lo and behold, he was there. #birding #birdphotography

Atlantic puffins typically live between 20 and 30 years in the wild. They are monogamous and mate for life, returning to the exact same burrows and partners each year. They perform a tender billing ritual by topping and rubbing their beaks together, reinforcing their bond
