Okay lets game this out: You are a Nintendo employee given unlimited funds and authority to move Switch 2 production to the US. No new factories, that's going to take way too long, you need to work with existing American Contract Manufacturing capacity. How fast can you do it? 1/x

been waiting on this for awhile now, the GPU Audio team
just released an SDK for creating audio applications like
VSTs, etc that can run entirely on the GPU
this has huge implications for CPU intensive audio
processing tasks like ambisonic spatialization, anything
involving machine learning, room simulations, any complex
form of synthesis like modal/concatenative, physical
modeling, etc.
here's a demo of their Neural Amp Modeler plugin running in
100+ instances entirely on the GPU

Finally saw Wicked, and yes it was phenomenal. I'm glad that the industry seems to be inching away from the “heavy pitch correction slapped on everything” approach that started with Glee. Still there, but both the technology and the application of it are improving slowly.

new keycaps came in, I tried a few before this but I needed something that I could see in the dark that also worked with my south-facing LEDs. apparently most shine-through sets are built with north-facing LEDs in mind, but I found this translucent set with big font legends that are easy to see

Metrical Reinterpretation! I believe that term comes from Rothstein in his "Phrase Rhythm in Tonal Music" but I would have to double check. Fred Lerdahl and Ray Jackendoff might refer to this as "Out of Phase" with the hypermeter, but that's less specific to what you're describing.
