This is ridiculous. During the by-election I heard over and over again about how hard it is to find swimming lessons. Too many kids are falling through the cracks. If parents can't teach their kids how to swim in our public pools, how are they supposed to learn?

Yes. 5 years in, I'm surprised by how people out there still don't realize that a respirator mask, such as an N95, protects the wearer from others *as much* as it protects others from the wearer. Don't overthink it; pop one on in public buildings, planes, trains, etc. and avoid respiratory illness.

This is extremely worrying both substantively and procedurally. Substantively: it shows ABC will not stand up for social housing. Procedurally: it shows that the City of Vancouver won't defend its own processes, and will cave to well-funded NIMBY pressure. This creates huge uncertainty.

My kid doesn't need to take more risks. It's a brutal world - climate disasters, rising fascism, ongoing pandemic, cost of living crisis, institutional & individual misogyny.
