The Terrazzo at the 1920s Blackpool Winter Garden was quite wild

@oneirodynia.bsky.social Please tell the Valkyries players to not "go at" Kuier. They tried that last game, too. It doesn't end well.

The United States was a slaveholding nation, and has never instituted a formal process to repair, reconcile, or otherwise come to terms with this aspect of its history. Every American should feel ashamed of this.

Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. First observed in 2013 as Orange Shirt Day, it is a day for public commemoration, learning and reflection on the history and intergenerational trauma of the Residential School System in Canada.

It’s evident that no good UX practice is at play with most model companies, and only a passing glance at places like MSFT. They instead rush features to market and hope for the best. The basic usability of these tools is atrocious.

This story brought me back to Kara, one of the mothers in my book, There Is No Place for Us. She was homeless with her four kids while driving for DoorDash. They had to pee in bottles so bathroom stops wouldn't make her late. After gas, she earned $6.50 an hour—75 cents less than the minimum wage.

Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.
A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:
Forget ChatGPT Flyers
Say it with
Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands
(They're called manicules!)
Don't be left behind
Broadsheets are the future

My only take on the TV thing: Taskmaster should be on it. I came to it late, but it’s a marvel of television. Like, it suits the medium perfectly, and is executed perfectly.
