My approach to the clock change: bollocks to it. Our phones and everything else digital in our house will do it by itself. I'll bother with anything analogue in the morning. I think even my car does itself, though I have no idea how. Stupid concept anyway.

Priest of Bones, by @petemc666.bsky.social, is an excellent grimdark novel that I deeply regret not having read before; Tomas Piety might be one of my favourite main characters in a time, especially because of how deeply complex he is. Full thoughts: jamreads.com/reviews/prie... 💙📚

There are about to be UK-US misunderstandings. Here in the UK our Jonathan Ross is a slightly obnoxious but basically harmless TV personality, the same as our Alex Jones is a pleasant lady chat show host. Yours, less so on both counts.

I was in the city office today. Mid-afternoon I fancied a snack, so I went to the office campus coffee shop to get one. They do not take cash, at all. Strictly card only. The delicious stupity of having to use a Platinum credit card to buy a 90p KitKat has kept me smiling for the rest of the day.

Have you ever grown out of an aspiration? When I was younger and in sales and a bit of a clothes horse I used to really want a Rolex watch. Now I can (just about) afford one I just... don't want one any more. Weird or normal?

Inspired by something that I'm not sharing: I don't have a fake "Social Media personality". The me you get on here is me. Like me or don't, your choice, but this is the real me. Anyone who fakes their personality for Social Media needs to have a long, hard conversation with themselves.
