If you’re looking for a horror/slasher, this will fit the bill; if you hope for another film like Evil Dead: Dead by Dawn, you’ll be dissatisfied. It all depends on your expectations.

This is, IMO, the best Spider-Man live-action movie so far. It’s got the most nuanced performances from Tom Holland and Zendaya, and also from Jon Bernthal as the Punisher. And it’s got a killer surprise villain. What more can you ask for?

Spielberg, like me, would really like there to be aliens out there, and wants you to know it. But he just doesn’t know how to interact with you and me, and that’s a problem with this film.
