Does telling LinkedIn you're declining an invitation to connect because you "don't know the person" actually do anything? I've been clicking that for years & nothing's changed. Now they might need to add a new option: "because this person has an AI-generated photo that makes me think they're a bot".

I’m obsessed with this, back in 2015 a junior person could reliably get a story in front of a genuinely mass audience very quickly. (Brexit negotiations were massively shaped by the existence of linear Twitter, in a very bad way.) Now audiences might just encounter it as “news” a month later.
