Hmmm new issues I’m finding in my AI adventures. The curse of the “just one more feature/tweak” loop really sucks you in! The dopamine train is real. Good to be aware of it though. “It can wait” is what I’ve started saying to myself.

Such mixed feelings on this. When I did Robot Wars many moons ago some of us pondered doing more robotics but at the time the only logical employers looked to be defence industry which didn’t sit well with any of us. Now though with Russia being aggressive I’m cheering on Ukraine’s inventiveness

I’m firmly in the “AI is actually an amazing tool in the right hands used the right way” camp. It’s allowing me to actually do all the bits and bobs on projects which make the projects scalable, maintainable and readable to humans (and AI) that so often got cut by deadlines and budgets in the past

I can see a lot of wastage if AI is used and pushed this hard (and effectively unmetered due to if it’s a good thing why meter it in-house). Easy to end up using it for everything and just getting lazy which burns credits and time.

2 runs a week for 6 weeks now and I’m stunned at the amount of progress I feel each time I go out. I run walk the same loop and the running parts are longer, the walking shorter and the number of them reducing. Pleasing and encouraging.

I have no idea who to vote for tomorrow. - Labour need a wake up call so no - Tory’s never - Reform never - Greens I could go with to try to drag Labour back to being more progressive - LibDems have always been my safe bet if in doubt but are still reeling from the Nick Clegg years sadly.

EA3 is one of three offshore wind farms where turbines are being erected, totalling 4 GW of sovereign power generation. We're building the wind power equivalent of a Hinkley Point C or Sizewell C nuclear power station under every two years. Hinkley Point C is expected to take 14 years to build.

Trump is demonstrating the importance of credibility in international relations. He is not credible. He’s shown that others can’t trust what he says, and can’t act as if his stance will be the same tomorrow. He can’t communicate demands or make reliable offers. He made America’s word is worthless.
