今回の非公開は、作品や作者の方の表現そのものを否定するものではありません。また、その作品を「不適切な表現」と評価することを目的としたものでもありません。あくまで、CLIP STUDIO ASSETSという公開サービスの中で、現在どのような形で掲載できるかという観点から判断しています。

掲載の判断について、「どの表現が対象になるのか」「どのように修正すれば公開できるのか分かりにくい」というご意見があることも認識しています。掲載の可否は、特定の部位や表現だけで一律に決まるものではなく、素材全体の内容や見せ方、掲載情報などを含めて確認しています。また、掲載の判断で考慮する点や必要な対応は、現在も変わりつつあります。今後、掲載ルールの説明や代表的な例を充実させ、投稿前に判断しやすい情報を増やしてまいります。

本来は、年齢制限や地域ごとの表示制御、コンテンツフィルターなどを使い、より細かくゾーニングできることが望ましいと考えています。今後は、年齢や地域、利用者の設定に応じた表示の仕組みを強化していく予定です。
「すべての利用者に表示する」か「まったく公開できない」か、という二択ではなく、表現の内容に合った形で公開できることを目指します。弊社は、これからも幅広い創作表現を支え、安心して利用できることと、多様な表現を扱えることの両方を目指して、ASSETSの仕組みと運用を改善してまいります。

Currently, some materials on CLIP STUDIO ASSETS are not publicly available. As we review materials in accordance with our operational guidelines, the number of materials being made private is increasing, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We also apologize for any concern or anxiety caused by our insufficient explanation. We are truly sorry.

Even if the content is deleted or changed to a private state by the administrator, there will be no rights issues unless it is removed as infringing material. You can continue to use the materials you have already downloaded.

- We will be reviewing the materials that were made private, starting with those that had errors in their judgment and those that have been corrected to a problem-free state, and plan to make them public again. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to the material creators and users of the materials.

CLIP STUDIO ASSETS is currently used by people in many countries and regions. Some expressions can be perceived very differently depending on the age, culture, and region of the user. Therefore, when it comes to sensitive expressions, it is more important than ever to consider not only whether they can be published or not, but also who they are for and how they should be displayed.

This decision to keep the work private does not negate the work or the artist's expression itself. Nor is it intended to label the work as containing "inappropriate expression." It is simply a decision based on how it can be published within the current public service of CLIP STUDIO ASSETS.

We understand that some users have expressed concerns about the publication process, such as "which expressions are subject to restrictions" and "how to modify content to make it publicly available." Our publication decision is not based solely on specific parts or expressions; rather, we review the entire content, presentation, and publication information of the material. Furthermore, the points we consider and the necessary actions in our publication decisions are constantly evolving. In the future, we will enhance our explanations of publication rules and provide more representative examples to make it easier for users to make informed decisions before submitting.

Ideally, we would like to be able to zone more precisely using age restrictions, region-specific display controls, and content filters. In the future, we plan to strengthen the display system based on age, region, and user settings.
Rather than offering a binary choice between "display to all users" or "not making it public at all," we aim to allow users to publish their work in a way that suits the content of their expression. We will continue to improve the ASSETS system and operation to support a wide range of creative expressions, aiming for both a safe and reliable user experience and the ability to handle diverse forms of expression.
